Turneffe Atoll offers a very different diving experience from the local reef around San Pedro. Expect an offshore journey, three dives selected according to conditions, and a full day dedicated to exploring some of Belize's more remote reef systems.
Turneffe is home to more than 70 known dive sites, giving the dive team flexibility to choose locations according to weather, currents, sea conditions and the experience of the group.
Rather than operating a fixed three-site itinerary, the exact sites are selected on the day. This allows the crew to make the most of conditions and provide the strongest experience possible.
Three locations are selected on the day based on weather, currents, visibility and the dive team's assessment of conditions.
Your first dive introduces you to the day's conditions and one of the reef or wall sites selected by the BPDC dive team.
Continue to another Turneffe location, with the site chosen according to the day's conditions and group experience.
Complete the day with a third site before settling in for the return journey to Ambergris Caye.
Turneffe is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes offshore from San Pedro. Plan for approximately approximately 8.5 hours from departure to the approximate 3:30 PM return.
Check in, prepare equipment, meet the dive team and enjoy a continental breakfast.
Begin the approximately 1.5-hour offshore journey toward Turneffe Atoll.
Complete the first of three Turneffe reef or wall dives.
Continue to a second site selected according to conditions.
Enjoy lunch aboard the offshore boat along with water, sodas, fruit and snacks.

Rental dive equipment is not included in the tour price. Optional full dive equipment rental is US$30.00 plus 12.5% GST (US$33.75 total per person, per day), payable separately on site.
Booking & Payment Policy For bookings made more than 30 days before your first scheduled tour or course, 50% of the total is required at booking. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before your first scheduled activity. For bookings made 30 days or less before your first scheduled activity, full payment is required at booking. The payment due is calculated automatically at checkout. These payments cover all reserved tours and courses, including applicable taxes. Equipment rental and park entrance fees are paid separately on site. Please review these terms before paying. By submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this policy. Cancellation Deadlines We must receive your cancellation by email or WhatsApp at least 24 hours before local tours and courses, including local diving, snorkeling, Hol Chan and courses, or at least 48 hours before private and offshore tours, including private tours, Blue Hole and Turneffe. Deadlines are based on the scheduled start time of the affected activity, in Belize local time. Cancellations & Refunds If you cancel your entire booking before the applicable deadlines, 25% of the total amount you have paid is non-refundable. The remaining 75% of your payment will be refunded. If you cancel only some activities before their applicable deadlines, we will refund all amounts paid towards those activities, without a deduction. Your remaining activities stay booked. Cancellations received after the applicable deadline and no-shows are subject to a 100% cancellation charge for the affected tour or course, and no refund will be issued. This applies regardless of the reason, including illness or changes to travel plans. Payments already received count towards this charge. Weather & Operator Cancellations If BPDC cancels due to unsafe weather, insufficient participants or another operational reason, you may reschedule, subject to availability, or receive a full refund of all amounts paid for the affected services, without any deduction. Our team makes weather-related decisions based on safety. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer.
